Xiaomi 15 Launched with Snapdragon 8 Elite, Surge P3 Fast Charging Chip and 5400mAh Battery

 On 29th October, Xiaomi 15 was launched in China as one of the world's first Snapdragon 8 Elite phones. With the announcement of this model and Pro model, Xiaomi beat Honor, iQOO and OnePlus in the race to launch first the Snapdragon 8 Elite phone.

Xiaomi 15 Specifications

Speaking of dimensions, the vanilla Xiaomi 15 measures 152.3 x 71.2 x 8.06mm (Glass)  / 8.48mm (Bright Silver) / 8.36mm (Diamond). Its weight is about 191 grams  (Glass) / 192 grams (Bright Silver) / 189 grams (Diamond). 

Moving to its display, the Xiaomi 15 is powered by a 6.36-inch OLED LPTO screen with 2670 x 1200p resolution, 120Hz refresh rate and HDR10+ support. Other display parameters are 3200 nits peak local brightness, 1000 nits HBM brightness, and DC dimming.

As we explained earlier, this phone comes armed with a new 3nm-based Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 4.0 storage are supported. It features Android 15-based HyperOS 2.0.

The Xiaomi 15 rocks a 5,400mAh battery which supports  90W wired, 50W wireless charging and 10W reverse wireless charging.

There is a 32MP (OmniVision OV32B40) camera on the front and a triple camera system at the back consisting of a 50MP OmniVision Light Fusion 900 wide camera (OIS, 5x lossless zoom), a 50MP Samsung S5KJN1 ultra-wide camera, and a 50MP S5KJN5 telephoto rear camera with floating focus, OIS, and 3x optical zoom.

The Xiaomi 15 comes with an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor, dual speakers, an x-axis linear motor, quad microphones, laser autofocus

Besides the Snapdragon 8 Elite, the Xiaomi 15 comes with multiple self-developed chipsets, Surge P3 fast charging chip, G1 battery management chip, T1 signal management chip, and comes with support for network-free communication and magnetic case.

The Xiaomi 15 comes with a wide range of connectivity options including Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, IR blaster, and USB-C (3.2 Gen 1).



It should also be understood that Xiaomi used Xiaomi Dragon Crystal Glass protection for screen and back panels and for dust and water resistance, this device is IP68 rated.

Xiaomi 15 Colours, Variants and Pricing

The standard version comes in four variants, 12GB+256GB, 12GB+512GB, 16GB+512GB and 16+512GB, which are priced at 4,499 CNY (~Rs 53,050 | ~$630), 4,799 CNY (~Rs 56,590 | ~$670), 4,999 CNY (~Rs 58,950 | ~$700) and 5,499 CNY (~Rs 64,840 | ~$770), respectively.

There are five colour choices available for this version which are Black, White, Light Grass Green, Lilac Purple and Bright Silver.

Xiaomi 15 Custom Edition Variants, Colours and Pricing

The Custom Edition is available in a single 16GB+512GB option which comes with a price tag of 4,999 CNY (~Rs 58,950 | ~$700). It is offered in 20 colours, 2 frame options, and 40 combinations.

Xiaomi 15 Diamond Edition Variants, Colours and Pricing

The Diamond Edition comes in a sole 16GB+1TB option which costs around 5,999 CNY (~Rs 70,740 | ~$840).

There are three colour choices available for this version which are Elephant Gray, Orange and Glacier White.
