After months of rumours and leaks surrounding MediaTek's next upper-class chipset, finally, the Dimensity 9300+ has got its official announcement.
The Dimensity 9300+ which adopts the same 4+4 CPU cluster design as the Dimensity 9300 is intended to power the next-gen flagship phones launching starting from this quarter.
The Dimensity 9300+ announcement could also mark the start of the Dimensity 9300 processor to be used by Vendors for affordable flagship phones. Starting this quarter, most phone makers who manufacture mid-upper-class smartphones will shift to using the Dimensity 9300 processor instead of Dimensity 9200 and 9200+ chipsets.
MediaTek Dimensity 9300 Plus: Specifications And Features
Speaking of specifications and features of this new premium MediaTek chipset, the Dimensity 9300+ is fabricated using a 3rd generation TSMC's 4nm process technology and features an octa-core CPU that includes four high-performance cortex X4 cores and four mid-performance Cortex A720 cores. The four cortex X4 cores are split into two clusters, one featuring a prime cortex X4 core clocked at 3.4GHz and the other featuring remaining cortex X4 cores running at 2.8GHz. The cortex 720 cores are operating at up to a maximum speed of 2.0GHz.
When it comes to graphics, the Dimensity 9300+ comes integrated with Armor Immortalis G720 with hardware ray tracing.
In memory and storage departments, the Dimensity 9300+ supports up to UFS 4 + MCQ and LPDDR5T, which, currently, is the fastest DRAM memory with a top transfer speed of 9.6Gbps.
Speaking of optics, the new Dimensity 9300+ chipset carries support for a camera with up to 320MP resolution. Jumping into videography, this chipset supports up to 8K (7690 x 4320) and 4K(3840 x 2160) video recording at 30 and 60 framerates per second, respectively.
For connectivity purposes, this chipset comes with support for ultra-fast WiFi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and 5G.
And since we are living in the AI era, the new Dimensity 9300+ processor also comes integrated with MediaTek APU 790 which will be responsible for handling the processing of all activities that need assistance from artificial intelligence.
Which Phones Or Devices Will Be Powered By MediaTek Dimensity 9300 Plus Processor?
More premium phones and tablets are expected to make use of this new premium processor from Media Tek. And, so far, the list includes Vivo X100s, Vivo X100s Pro, iQOO Neo 9s Pro, and iQOO Pad 2 Pro.
